Jet Installs Live TV in Jumbo, BBJ

Jet Aviation Basel recently installed a new airborne TV system designed for multi-region satellite reception in a Boeing 747 Classic and a BBJ. The Tailwind 550 Airborne TV system was developed by Rockwell Collins' division Airshow. "The new satellite multi-region TV system represents a significant breakthrough in airborne TV," says Rainer Albecker, vp and general manager of Jet's Basel operation. "What customers appreciate most about the system is the consistent and reliable reception and smooth transitions from one geographic service provider to the next especially in the Middle East, where until recently, satellite reception was difficult to achieve." Jet Aviation Basel can perform the new installation on the Airbus, BBJ, Gulfstream, Falcon and Hawker aircraft.
