Dassault's Wilmington Facility Will Be World-Class

Dassault Falcon Jet is developing its Wilmington, Del., facility (formerly Atlantic Aviation) into a state-of-the-art center for aircraft exterior paint and design. On July 10, ground was broken for its new 40,000-square-foot paint hangar, specifically designed to handle the latest Falcon 7X and other large business jets. According to Todd McGahey, vice president and general manager of Dassault Falcon JetWilmington, "In this region of the U.S. [northeast], an environmentally sound, quality paint facility of this size just does not exist-and we are going to establish one here over the next year." Dassault's new facility will be a multi-bay EPA Title V-approved center, and the company expects it to bring new high-tech employment opportunities to the area.
