12th 800XP for Mexico Air Taxi

SARSA, an air taxi company based in Monterrey, Mexico, has ordered its 12th Hawker aircraft, an 800XP, from Raytheon. SARSA has operated Hawker aircraft for 30 years, including Beech Hawkers, which were completed at Wichita in the 1970s.

The typical SARSA mission is 1.2 hours with four passengers, but the company also makes regular nonstop flights from Toluca, Mexico, to New York City. "The Hawker 800XP makes that possible," says SARSA general director Felipe Cardenas. "Hawkers are so reliable, you can bank on them."

Hawker division president/general manager Brad Hatt welcomed the order, calling the SARSA team "very valuable long-term customers who understand the value Hawker aircraft bring to their operation."

The uprated Hawker 800XP, launched in 1996, is the latest development of the classic jet family that started its life as the de Havilland DH.125 in the early 1960s. More than 500 800s and 800XPs have been delivered worldwide.
