DeCrane Adds New Aircraft and New Capabilities to Portfolio

DeCrane Aircraft Systems Integration Group has announced the delivery of its first Boeing BBJ-2 executive interior completion. The modifications were undertaken at the company's facility in Georgetown, Del. Over a 10-month period, DeCrane added interior cabinetry, avionics, electrical systems, mechanical systems and a cabin management/entertainment system for an undisclosed customer. The aircraft's pre-delivery FAA flight test took place on September 6.

In other DeCrane news, the company has announced:

  • An enhanced capability to provide VIP furniture and cabin interiors for VVIP aircraft in the class of the Boeing 777 and BBJ.
  • DeCrane's Wichita-based subsidiary, Precision Pattern Inc., is now delivering VIP cabinetry for the Citation Sovereign and the CJ3 business jets.
  • The launch of its SFAR 88 compliance team-all FAA-trained specialists who will develop compliance plans and schedules for STC holders and operators. The DeCrane SFAR group will also be able to tackle technical consulting, design evaluation, risk and safety assessments, aircraft surveys and SFAR 88 compliance program management.
