Honeywell Tapped for G150 Components

One likely beneficiary of Gulfstream's proposed G150 is Honeywell, which will supply several key systems for the new jet.

Uprated TFE731-40 engines will power the jet, helping the G150 realize the promised takeoff, climb and cruise performance of the wide-cabin aircraft. According to Gulfstream, long-range cruise speed of the G150 will be Mach 0.75.

In addition to the powerplants, Honeywell will provide the auxiliary power unit, cabin pressurization system, environmental control system and interior and exterior lighting systems for the G150. Also, G150s will be outfitted with Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System.
Commenting on the multi-system deal, Honeywell vp and general manager for commercial aerospace, Lynn Brubaker, says, "Honeywell has the technologies needed to deliver a diverse set of products for this new aircraft," adding, "Our proven engines, APU and other aircraft systems will deliver the reliability and performance Gulfstream's customers will expect."
