CJ3 Off to Strong Start

Russ Meyer, Cessna chairman and CEO, said Monday that Cessna will announce more orders for the firm's new CJ3, the third member of the CitationJet family, than for any previous Citation. The $5.8 million CJ3, a stretched version of Cessna's popular CJ2, has 24 inches more cabin length, five to eight knots more speed, 160 to 210 nmi more range, 760 pounds more thrust, and more powerful Collins Pro Line 21 avionics than the CJ2.
Cessna delivered its 500th CJ series aircraft, its 100th CJ2, and its 200th Citation X this past summer.
