Security and Safety Concerns Prompt Rapid Expansion for Executive Jet Management

With 20 new aircraft added to its books since January and another 25 anticipated before the year's end, Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeing a surge in demand for its aviation management and charter services. The milestone of its 100th aircraft was passed recently, and further expansion is foreseen in 2003.

Number 100 is a Gulfstream IV-SP owned by Charles Cohen of Design Professionals. Based in the New York area, it is currently undergoing retrofit before being made available for charter use. Cohen says, "I was impressed by EJM's professionalism, management skills, large staff and worldwide presence."

Employing 510 personnel at 48 locations, EJM anticipates turning a year-end total of 19,300 flight segments, amounting to 4,920 charter segments, including 726 international flights, plus 14,500 owner flight segments. A year ago, the company moved into new premises at Luken Airport, Cincinnati, Ohio, where its hangar can accommodate up to 20 executive aircraft receiving servicing or in storage.
