Raytheon Merges Charters into FBO

Raytheon has merged its Raytheon Aircraft Charter and Management organization into its Raytheon Aircraft Services FBO group. RACM will become a division of RAS and will provide its services through the 14 RAS sites in the United States, UK and Mexico.

Founded three years ago, RACM manages aircraft on behalf of their owners, providing pilot support and leaseback, and selling charter services on aircraft that would otherwise be idle. The unit currently manages more than 40 aircraft across the U.S., and will now open new sales offices at the RAS centers at Van Nuys (Calif.) and Indianapolis.

Raytheon hopes customers will respond to a higher level of service provided by the new organization.
This represents the second substantial realignment of services at Raytheon, which sold its fractional jet division to Flight Options earlier this year.
