UVglobal Grows Down Under

UVglobal Network announced that by this November it will be adding Sydney's Kingsford Smith International Airport (YSSY), Australia to its family of international service provider locations.

The new location is a joint venture between Universal Aviation Australia, who will provide ground/FBO services, and ExecuJet Australia, the aircraft sales, management, charter and maintenance provider of the partnership.

"This is a great opportunity for both of us, and could lead to future endeavors," said Lex den Herder, UVglobal senior manager.

With the addition of Australia, UVglobal has now welcomed six new facilities this year, including locations in Costa Rica, Greece, Indonesia, Mexico and Taiwan.

While adding new sites is important, Herder said, "We will not compromise our quality standards for growth. Our focus is on consistency."

To keep up this standard, UVglobal requires that all of its ground handlers be FAA Part 108 qualified on all GSE. In addition, if there are JAR or other equipment standard requirements, the handlers must meet those qualifications.

As for the future, Herder said that they are looking at several new locations, including Africa, at which they currently have no UVglobal Network FBOs.

UVglobal Network is a group of independent ground service providers located around the world that must adhere to strict standards for service appearance and experience. For more information, visit UVglobal at Booth 1935.
