Internet Firm Promises Free Flight
CharterAuction.com has launched a super-light jet management program.
The initiative will allow users of the revolutionary class of
"super-light" personal jet aircraft to effectively own
and fly the aircraft for free.
CharterAuction.com styles itself as the only comprehensive online
site for affordable private aircraft charter. The Quincy, Mass.,-based
company was established in 1999 as an Internet-rooted exchange
for jet charter pricing, offering point-to-point private air charter
travel services.
The new jet management program offers the owner of super-light
aircraft a guaranteed charter income equal to the cost of the
interest payments for the purchase of the aircraft. CharterAuction.com
will provide charter operators to manage and pilot the aircraft
in its network.
The CharterAuction.com program is aimed chiefly at the Eclipse
500 and Safire S-26 aircraft that are now becoming reality.
"We will guarantee enough charter income to cover costs,
but I would predict a strong demand for the aircraft far above
our minimum guarantee," says president and CEO Nate McKelvey.
"Most of our current customers will enjoy flying at half
the cost of traditional aircraft charters, and I would expect
our current volume of $1 million per month to triple with the
new pricing structure during the first year of operation."
