Reach Out and Touch Something

Frost Navratil Technical Solutions announces a new, remote touch-screen display to complement its ApproachView electronic flight bag (EFB) product line. The TD-840 is on show here (Booth 6242) and will be on sale in November.

The TD-840 has an 8.4-inch screen that mounts on the yoke and can be driven either by ApproachView's P600 computer or by a standard laptop. A single computer can drive two units, and the screen can be rotated for landscape or portrait viewing. The EFB system can also support a GPS, providing a real-time moving map display.

The $3,895 TD-840 is designed specifically for aviation use, with greater brightness and contrast and a wider dimming range than commercial, non-aviation LCD screens. This makes it useful in the brightest backlit cockpit environments and dim enough for night operations.
