Smiths Sees $20 Million in CJ3

Smiths Aerospace (Booth 4357) has been selected to provide the hydraulic actuation and cockpit display systems for Cessna's new Citation CJ3. Smiths estimates that the deal could be worth $20 million over the life of the program. Deliveries start in 2004 and full production begins in 2006.

Smiths Aerospace in the U.S. will produce the actuation systems for the CJ3 landing gear, speed brakes and flaps. The company's Cheltenham, England facility will develop a new electronic horizontal situation indicator (EHSI) that will provide all navigation data on a single color display. It is based on the company's most recent combat-aircraft display technology.
