Jet IHAS Installation STC'd
Jet Aviation Dallas, a Citation Authorized Service Center,
has been granted an STC for installation of an integrated hazard
awareness system (IHAS) on Citation S550 series aircraft.
Technicians at the Love Field facility installed a Bendix King
IHAS 8000 model, which offers position awareness, weather avoidance,
traffic advisories and terrain warnings.
The FAA has mandated the installation of IHAS on all turbine-powered
aircraft by March 2005.
