Falcon 10 Enhancements STC'd

Elliott Aviation (Booth 2477) says it's received Supplemental Type Certification for several enhancements to Falcon 10s and Beech King Airs as work continues on a Hawker 700A flat-panel retrofit.

Newly STC'd systems for the Falcon 10 include a terrain awareness and warning system, a traffic alert and collision avoidance system, and a multi-function display. Certification covers the Collins TCAS-4000 ACAS with dual displays and mode S transponders, a Universal Class A TAWS, and the Universal MFD-640 flat-panel display.

Of particular note, says Elliott, is the versatility of the MFD-640, which can be installed in the Falcon 10 instrument panel without major rework, and which interfaces with radar systems and avionics commonly found in the Falcon 10 fleet.

According to the Wichita-based company, the systems meet European standards and exceed impending FAA requirements.

Elliott is also seeking certification of a Pro Line 21 Continuum upgrade for the Hawker 700A. The 700A program anticipates STCs for FDS-2000 flat-panel displays, WXR-850 doppler radar, AHC-3000 Attitude Heading and Reference System (AHRS), TCAS, ACAS and EGPWS. The new systems are intended to enhance situational awareness, comply with U.S. and European regulatory mandates, and reduce the cost and downtime associated with older technology presently available for the aircraft.

Not restricting its efforts to aging jets, Elliott has recently received and STC for universal flat panel integrated displays on King Air 200/300 and 350 series aircraft. The upgrade replaces the King Air's electromechanical or EFIS ADI and HSI instruments with Universal's EFI-550 five-inch flat-panel display.

Elliott recently broke ground on a new paint and completions facility in Moline, Ill. The facility was named a Hawker Authorized Service Center-extending the relationship between Elliott and Beech/Raytheon that began in 1947.
