IATA Meeting at FIDAE

Top executives from most of the airlines in Central and South America will meet here at FIDAE on Wednesday for the IATA conference "Wings of Change."

On the agenda: the future of air transport in the Americas following 9/11. Topics include restructuring the airline industry, financing in Latin America, infrastructure and airspace, and safety, security and ground handling.

This is the second time IATA has held its Latin American conference in conjunction with FIDAE, further cementing the importance of the show to the region.

The IATA meeting continues Thursday at Casapiedra Convention Center.
