Honeywell's Primus Epic has One More to Go

Honeywell's new generation Primus Epic avionics architecture is now flying in six out of its first seven applications, following the first flights on Feb. 22 of Dassault's EASy-cockpit equipped Falcon 900EX business jet and on Feb. 27 of the Cessna Sovereign bizjet.

"It is showing its versatility in handling everything from fly-by-wire to hydraulic flight systems," a spokesman told Show News.

Primus Epic first flew a little over a year ago on the Agusta Bell AB139 utility helicopter, and has since become airborne in the Hawker Horizon and Gulfstream GV-SP business aircraft, and the Embraer 170 regional airliner. It is due to fly this spring in the Fairchild Dornier 728 regional jet.

Primus Epic integrates and displays a wide range of navigation and flight management systems.
