Virtual Mako Seeks a Launch Reality

The proposed Mako light combat and lead-in trainer aircraft will
feature a virtual reality cockpit that will allow it--while in flight--to
simulate various mission profiles as well as the characteristics
of different aircraft, according to EADS, which is promoting the
Mako here at FIDAE 2002. The aircraft and its systems are being
defined by EADS-Germany and the United Arab Emirates air force in
hopes of winning the launch order needed for the Mako to become
reality within the next few years.
