Bell Sells Well in Region

More than 500 Bell 407s have been delivered worldwide.

Bell Helicopter delivered 46 commercial aircraft and 12 Huey IIs to customers in Latin America last year, and has already delivered 12 in the first quarter of this year.

Based on that performance it may beat its projections for sales this year in Latin America of 32 aircraft and 14 Huey IIs.

The company estimates it has a market share of about 60% in the region. Major opportunities, it says, are for the Huey II (which it sells in any stage from an upgrade kit to a refurbished aircraft), and the offshore oil industry.

Deliveries of the Huey II to Colombia are continuing at a record pace, and other countries are seen as customers. Bell is here at Hall G, Stand H1.
