Seen here for the second FIDAE running is EADS CASA's C-295 tactical transport, the arch-rival of Alenia Aerospazio's C-27J.

The C-295 is competing head-to-head with the C-27J to win a Brazilian Air Force contract for eight to 12 new transports. CASA now holds orders for nine C-295s from Spain, eight from Poland, and two from the Swiss air force.

It recently won a maritime patrol contract from the United Arab Emirates for four aircraft.
