Boeing Grows Here

Current and new Boeing 737 operators have have a new training facility in Latin America to meet their flight training requirements as a result of a cooperative effort between VARIG Airlines of Brazil and FlightSafety Boeing (FSB).

FSB's Boeing 737-700/-800 and FlightSafety International's Embraer 145 full-flight simulators have been placed in VARIG's training facility in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil along with customized training materials, including Aerosim Flight Simulator Software, to support VARIG's transition and recurrent training objectives. They are also being made available to other operators of similar aircraft in South America.

"This helps illustrate our growing commitment to our customers in the region," said Daniel da Silva, Boeing's chief of sales in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Boeing also opened a sales and support office nine months ago in Mexico City tasked with developing new sales and supporting customers.
