Cessna to Announce New Citation at NBAA

Cessna will announce "at least one new Citation model" at NBAA this September, company chairman and CEO Gary Hay told Show News. "We are also taking a look at ideas for another aircraft to fit a market niche we haven't served for a long time."

Further details must wait until NBAA, he added.

Cessna is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and is planning special events at NBAA to mark three major milestones: deliveries of the 500th Bravo, the 200th Excel, and the 1,000th Citation 550 series aircraft.

Hay said he was very encouraged by the first few hours of EBACE 2002. "It's as busy as blazes out there, and we've been talking to people other than our competitors and suppliers," he said.
