Jet Aviation Opens Its New Center at Geneva International

Jet Aviation has invested some $20 million in the last year upgrading and adding to its business aviation facilities around the world. Major projects included new centers at Biggin Hill, UK, and Teterboro, New Jersey.

Here in Geneva, Jet Aviation recently moved its FBO into the new Terminal C3 building constructed by the airport authority and PrivatAir. The facility houses separate Swiss and French customs & immigration offices and offers underground parking.

"The customer lounge, outfitted with a new interior, is more comfortable and provides many business amenities," said Geneva's station manager Bernard Ratsira. Designed with a contemporary décor, the new location has a customer service reception desk in the main lobby, a private conference room, a refreshment area and a VIP lounge equipped with satellite television, video, DVD and Internet access.

"What customers most appreciate," he said, "is the large transparent wall. Because the facility was designed with a glass wall in the VIP lounge, passengers can relax while keeping track of aircraft on the arrival tarmac."

Crew members have access to a pilot's lounge with two computer terminals, Internet access, a fully equipped kitchen and a storage area, along with a snooze room, showers and changing facilities. Pilots can also use dedicated weather and flight planning rooms, as well as a dispatch area.

Jet Aviation's FBO in Geneva was founded in 1980. The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. daily and provides full FBO, aircraft maintenance, management and charter services. Last year Jet Aviation's Geneva FBO handled 2,855 corporate and private aircraft.

Jet Aviation claims to be the world's largest aircraft management and charter company, with a fleet of more than 150 aircraft in Europe and the U.S. This includes 33 Gulfstreams (including seven GVs), 25 Dassault Falcon jets, 22 Challengers, 17 Cessna Citations, five Global Express and two BBJs. Last year Jet Aviation logged close to 55,000 hours in global flight operations.

Jet Aviation is at EBACE on Booth 7028.
