Primus Epic Cockpits Near Certification

Up in the cockpit, Honeywell is reporting progress with its Primus Epic avionics suite which is in the midst of certification on the Hawker Horizon, GV-SP, Embraer 170/190, the Falcon 900EX, Cessna Sovereign and Agusta AB139 helicopter. The system is at its most advanced in the GV-SP's PlaneView and Falcon's EASy cockpits.

"We've had very good feedback from the test pilots," said Honeywell business and regional airline avionics chief John Uczekaj. "And these cockpits have evolved further as they have gone into flight test and pilots are using them for real."

Honeywell is also talking up its CDS-R cockpit retrofit products here, and the APEX flight deck for general aviation.
