Raytheon Stresses Beech 1900D Versatility
Raytheon Aircraft is showing a German-registered Model 1900D turboprop
in Executive configuration here. The aircraft includes an air
ambulance component, pointing up the 1900D as a solution for "secure,
efficient and flexible transport of management personnel and functional
work teams throughout Europe."
The 1900D's 16-passenger Executive configuration features a 71-inch
(180-cm) stand-up interior with custom features, including various
amenities "for a comfortable work and travel environment."
Beechcraft Berlin Aviation GmbH completed the interior.
Raytheon is selling 1900Ds primarily out of inventory now, having
advised customers that new aircraft will be built only if paid for
in advance.
"Excellent airport performance combined with low acquisition
and operating costs and a spacious, versatile cabin make the 1900D
an excellent choice as a corporate transport," Raytheon says.
The 1900D can carry a payload of more than 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg)
on a 500 nmi (926 km) trip in less than two hours, the company says.
It has "proved its reliability in especially harsh and difficult
commuter routes," Raytheon says. It is further said to be
the most popular 19-seat turboprop regional airliner in the world.
Spectrum Aeromed components impart special capabilities to the
aircraft on display here. The air ambulance equipment is installed
in the aft cabin area adjacent to the 1900D's large cargo door.
The Aeromed unit allows life-saving intensive care transport or
repatriation of sick personnel to be accomplished swiftly and
safely, with minimum transport trauma to the patient. Beechcraft
Berlin Aviation is the distributor for the Spectrum equipment
on display at EBACE.
Also being shown by Raytheon here are a composite-fuselaged Premier
I, a Hawker 800XP with Pro Line 21 avionics suite, a Beechjet
400A, and a King Air 350 turboprop.
