Europe Is Citation Country

The Cessna Citation range is the most numerous business jet type registered in Europe, according to statistics supplied by Wichita Kansas-based AvData. As of March 31, 478 Citations of all models were registered in the region. Runners-up were Dassault Falcons (317), Bombardier Learjets (153), BAe/Raytheon Hawkers (106), Bombardier Challengers (59) and Gulfstreams (57).

Country-wise, AvData's figures show Germany having the largest business jet fleet and number of jet operators, with 237 and 141 respectively. The UK is very close behind at 229 and 140, followed by France (204 and 71), EBACE host country Switzerland (135 and 55), and Italy (112 and 59).

AvData's airplane count does not include the many business jets based in Europe and operated by European companies that are registered elsewhere, notably in the U.S., Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.
