Lufthansa Technik's First BBJ2

Lufthansa Technik recently rolled out the world's first Boeing Business Jet 2 with an entirely customized cabin interior. Completed under contract with a private undisclosed customer, the plane had been flown to Hamburg in June 2001.

The airplane, according to Lufthansa Technik, is not just a bigger BBJ-its development called on many of the skills of the Hamburg center's engineers honed on other large VVIP and head of state aircraft.

A second BBJ 2 is under completion, and a third, for Multiflight Ltd. of the UK is under way featuring a luxurious 19-passenger configuration and a wide screen movie theater with surround sound.
