'Quietest' BBJ Here Seeking New Owner

For Sale: Brand new BBJ, low mileage, new upholstery. Must be seen to be believed. Available now. Asking $54.5 million.

It's not often that exhibitors come to a show with an airplane to take away, but that's the case with Jet Aviation (Booth 7028) which is helping Ned Landers sell his brand new BBJ.

"We bought the BBJ green and had it completed by Jet Aviation at Basel," Landers told Show News earlier this year. "But circumstances changed, so we are putting it up for sale."

The green aircraft is now white, ready for the next customer to apply his or her own trim. The airplane can be seen in the static display here at EBACE.

The BBJ is configured for 19-passengers. Landers is particularly proud of the soundproofing by acoustics expert Otto Pobanz, which makes it, he believes, the quietest BBJ in the fleet with interior sound levels of only 49.2 SIL.

Interior woodwork is California white oak; fabrics and leathers are finished in light and medium color earth tones; and all metal is finished in brushed satin silver.

The aircraft received press coverage last year when Jet Aviation fitted a complete plywood mockup interior before deciding on its final cabin configuration.
Landers can be reached on GSM 1-206-669-8754.
