EADS at Asian Aerospace

Australian Aerospace and EADS Socata, two companies of the EADS group, have signed a distribution agreement to market, sell and support all EADS Socata products. The agreement is part of the strategy to represent all EADS commercial and military activities in Australia. The company is also gearing to the production of 22 Tiger Helicopters.

EADS formed Australian Aerospace through the acquisition of Hawker Pacific in July last year.

Operating from Brisbane, Australian Aerospace will support single-engine piston aircraft and the TBM700 high turboprop, in Australia, New Zealand and Papua-New Guinea. The move is expected to strengthen the presence of Socata in the region, and increase its market share in private, corporate, flight school, charter and utility markets.
