CCIP F-16 Upgrades

The first of about 650 Lockheed Martin Block 40/50 F-16C/Ds being upgraded for the USAF's $1+ billion Common Configuration Implementation Program was completed ahead of schedule at the Ogden Air Logistics Center, at Shaw AFB in South Carolina in late January. CCIP is progressing behind close cooperation between Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and the USAF. CCIP Phase II is to begin in July 2003. A high degree of commonality will result with upgraded NATO F-16A/B MLUs, and USAF Block 50/52 F-16C/Ds.
