Mid-Pacific Bizjet Base Opened in Guam
U.S. aircraft management and flight operations specialist Aerospace
Concepts has formed a Pacific region subsidiary, headquartered
on the island of Guam. The new company is based in a hangar complex
at the island's international airport, Agana, where according
to company president Terry Habeck it will provide flight training,
maintenance and operational support services, principally for
ultra long-range executive jets.
The unit will also handle aircraft sales and leasing.
Guam is the closest U.S. territory to Japan with facilities
to service long range executive jets.
"We bring American-registered aircraft to the region,
delivering the unparalleled safety of U.S.-trained flight crews
and maintaining the highest quality of service," Habeck said.
The Guam initiative will help create the infrastructure necessary
to support an expanded executive jet industry, he added.
Aerospace Concepts operates three long-range Gulfstreams from
Guam but with the new facilities now being developed, envisages
a larger fleet, including the new Boeing Business Jet. Guam governor
Carl T.C. Gutierrez attended the ACS ceremony when the Aerospace
Concepts facility was opened.
