Pilatus PC-21 HUD
Pilatus Aircraft's new PC-21 basic and advanced trainer will include
an advanced Sparrowhawk head-up display system, from a contract
announced at Asian Aerospace yesterday by the US Flight Visions
company. Robert Atac, its president, said: "The PC-21 represents
the future for military training. It has low operational costs,
and yet the performance to cover at least 70-80% of the military
pilot's training scenario".
EADS SOCATA has flown one of its TBM700 single-turboprop business
aircraft some 7,086 nautical miles in 27 flying hours from its
Tarbes factory airfield to Singapore, for the Asian Aerospace
show. Leaving France on February 22, the TBM700 landed at Changi
at 23.20 hours local on February 24, refueling en route at Corfu,
Luxor, Dubai, New Delhi, and Chiang Mai, in Thailand. From Singapore,
it will continue on to Australia for its demonstration tour.
