Video Compression
L-3 Communications' Telemetry-West division is promoting an advanced
low-cost video compression system for telemetry or surveillance
applications. The VCS700 comprises a miniature airborne compression
unit and a ground-based PC-type decompression card, and makes
it possible to transmit high-quality video over a narrow-band
link. Possible applications include surveillance, UAVs and bomb
damage assessment.
