Dornier Wraps Thai Job

EADS unit Dornier GmbH has completed a substantial Royal Thai air force contract for surveillance and reconnaissance flights over Thailand with an airborne synthetic aperture radar system. The SAR was integrated into an RTAF Alenia G.222 twin-turboprop transport, which operated in conjunction with a seven-strong Dornier team using its own image exploitation stations to ensure image processing and interpretation. RTAF evaluation of this initial flight program may result in further similar operations.
