Socata Brings TBM 700B

This year, for the first time at Asian Aerospace, EADS Socata is displaying the latest TBM 700B version of its single-engined high-speed turboprop. Since the last Singapore show, Socata has appointed three new distributors in the region, including Singapore's Celestial, Japan's Daihyaku Shoji, and Australian Aerospace, an EADS subsidiary based in Melbourne.

The aircraft here will go on to become Australian Aerospace's demonstrator. There are more than 200 Socata aircraft currently flying in the Asia-Pacific region, but most of these have been direct factory sales. EADS Socata has changed its marketing strategy in the region by opening up its new network to support sales and customers.
