Goodrich Wins Huge Boeing Landing Gear Deal
Goodrich is maintaining its position as the exclusive landing
gear supplier for all Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, and 777 aircraft.
A memorandum of understanding disclosed here replaces 14 current
contracts and extends existing supply arrangements through 2006.
The MoU covers both original equipment and spares.
"We appreciate this expanded opportunity to meet Boeing's commercial
airplane landing gear requirements well into the future," said
John Grisk, Goodrich's group president for landing systems.
Original equipment sales to Boeing account for 18% of Goodrich's
annual aerospace sales. The company was named "Boeing Supplier
of the Year" in 1999.
Goodrich also furnishes Boeing with engine nacelles, wheels and
brakes, sensors, crew seating and evacuation slides, and converts
aircraft from passenger to freight configuration.
The company builds landing gear at plants in Ohio, Tennessee,
Ontario and Washington State.
