Cordiem Reaches Milestones

With a new executive team in place and the launch of its commercial e-commerce services product, Cordiem says it has reached important milestones in its effort to become the leading player in the aviation e-commerce marketplace competition.

The company, whose partners comprise three OEMs and nine airlines recently named longtime Hamilton Sundstrand executive David Linton CEO.

Monday, the site went live with modules to allow general procurement and maintenance and engineering services. Functionality includes product and service sourcing, e-procurement, and procurement collaboration for both buyers and sellers. Buyers will be able to source and purchase parts and services from catalogs, new and serviceable parts inventories and though reverse auctions. The company will release additional services as the year wears on, including global search, inventory pooling, AOG services, fuel management, catering, product and repair design collaboration, service shop parts planning.

Cordiem's executive team also will comprise Bob Hyland, chief technology officer, formerly VP technology for Toys R Us; Scott Clements, executive VP for sales and marketing, and a senior Honeywell veteran; John Mache, VP for maintenance and engineering services, former CIO for AAR Corp.; Sue Ellen Beggs, controller, a longtime UTC veteran; Tony Amato, VP sales, formerly of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines.
