RSL Monitors To Predict Engine Failures

RSL Electronics has successfully demonstrated a novel approach to engine diagnostics. Its new health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) uses artificial intelligence for vibration analysis. Recent demonstrations of the HUMS technology showed it capable of providing alerts six to ten hours before mechanical failure. In addition, it can warn of minor control deficiencies before they become serious-for example, two days before actual FADEC failure.
