Rolls-Royce Delivers Thousandth AE 3007 for Embraer ERJs

Following on from three decades of military association through the Viper and Spey jets for EMB-326 and AMX, Rolls-Royce has reaffirmed its close working relationship with Brazil's Embraer by delivering the 1,000th powerplant for a locally-built regional airliner.

Handing over the AE 3007, John Cheffins, COO of Rolls-Royce, noted that in less than five years, this has become the fastest-growing application in the world. By next year, thanks to an ERJ order book approaching 1,600 and an annual aircraft manufacturing rate of 200 per annum, there will be more Rolls engines on Embraer aircraft than any other type.
