  Chile fighter Deal Progresses
The Pentagon has taken the next major step required for Lockheed Martin to sell F-16s to Chile, with notification to the U.S. Congress having been submitted on the eve of the Paris Air Show. The potentially $714 million deal would sell ten F-16s and two KC-135 tankers. The F-16s will be equipped with Litening 2 navigation and targeting pods and rocket launchers. AMRAAM is not being sold, although Chilean officials note it wasn't formally requested, either.
