Another Victory for EHUD Rangeless AACMI System
IAI's MLM Division has announced a deal worth $16 million for the supply of its EHUD autonomous air combat maneuvering instrumentation (AACMI) system to an un-named "foreign customer". According to IAI, the contract covers the most advanced version of the podded system and its PC-based debriefing system. EHUD is a GPS-based, rangeless AACMI system that does away with the need for expensive ground tracking stations and a large land area for the training range. It records all maneuvers of the aircraft carrying the recording device. These can then be replayed during the post-mission debriefing. Existing customers include the USA, UK, NATO, Israel, Germany, France, Portugal, Italy, Thailand and Belgium.
