  Honeywell AS900 Meets Performance Objectives
Honeywell's AS900 engine development program has met more than a dozen critical FAA certification tests so far and will undergo fan-blade-out, bird-strike and ice-injection tests later this summer, the company says. The AS900 has accumulated more than 6,000 hours of total test time, including more than 400 hours aboard Honeywell's Boeing 727 test bed, and 100 hours on a BAE Systems Avro RJX regional jet.
