Do-328 Variants Achieve Milestones
Both versions of Fairchild Dornier's Do 328 regional aircraft
have reached major operational milestones. The 328-100 turboprop
passed one million flight hours and one million cycles at the
end of April, and the turbofan-powered 328JET reached 100,000
flight hours at the end of May. Fairchild Dornier received certification
for the 328-100 in 1993. The 328JET entered service in September
1999. There are now 64 in operation with ten operators around
the world. Sales of the aircraft total 223 orders and options.
