TRW Cargo Power Drives
TRW announced a $50 million contract from STN Atlas Elektronik
GmbH of Germany to supply cargo power drive units for Airbus A340-500/600
aircraft. TRW has already secured $615 million worth of contracts
for flight controls and engine control systems. The cargo drive
units include a self-lifting and self-retracting doorway that
enables cargo to be moved into and around the cargo bay door.
