IAI Delivers New Intelligence Gathering System
Israel Aircraft Industries' Tamam Division completed integration
and delivery of a new imagery intelligence gathering system. The
Airborne Observation System (AOS) comprises the Helicopter Multi-mission
Optronic Payload (HMOSP), specially designed to withstand high
air velocities characteristic with fixed-wing aircraft. The system
also includes operator's and commander's consoles, and downlink
communications for real-time images and data. It can be used as
a stand-alone AOS, or integrated into larger intelligence gathering
suites.
