Newly LBA/FAA-Approved Engine Trend Monitors
Honeywell and Altair Avionics recently received approval for three
gas turbine diagnostic and trend monitoring systems. Germany's
LBA approved IntelliStart+ for Rolls-Royce 250 turboshaft engines
aboard MD369/500 and Bell 206 helicopters, plus the SmartCycle
Plus system used aboard B ell 204 and 205. U.S. FAA okayed Honeywell's
data acquisition system for the PW&C PT6A turboprop engines
fitted to Raytheon King Air 200 and 300.
