Barnes Achieves Lean Milestones
Barnes Aerospace achieved several lean-manufacturing milestones
at its advanced fabrications division in Ogden, UT, the company
announced. As a result of the initiative, which began two years
ago, the facility has achieved 65% space reduction, 24% productivity
increase, 57% raw material use reduction, 56% reduction in inventory,
61% reduction in lead time, and 51% reduction in cost of capital.
