Honeywell/Thales Earns Certification for SATCOM
The Honeywell/Thales MCS-7000 and MCS-4000 satellite communications
systems have received FAA STC certification. The seven-channel
MCS-7000 and four-channel MCS-4000 will replace the six-channel
MCS-6000 and three-channel MCS-3000. The systems use the INMARSAT
satellite constellation. They have the potential to be upgraded
to provide a path to high-speed data lines for passenger Internet
and cabin telecommunications.
