Ametek Aerospace Hitches a Ride on the C-5
Lockheed Martin has awarded Ametek Aerospace a contract to provide
Angle of Attack (AoA) transducers to for the USAF's C-5 Galaxy
Avionics Modernization Program. Each transducer-a fuselage-mounted,
precision-sensing device designed for the angular measurement
of local airflow-features a built-in, self-regulating de-icing/anti-icing
sensing element. They require no calibration and port and starboard
AoA transducers are interchangeable without recalibration.
