JSF's F120 Fan and Core Reach Milestone
Full-scale development of the F120, competitor for PW's F119 aboard
the Joint Strike Fighter, is ready to begin, now that preliminary
bench test of the gas generator core and fan have been successfully
completed by the JSF-F120 team. Partners in the program GE Aircraft
Engines, Allison Advanced Development Company, Rolls-Royce and
Philips Enabling Technologies Group.
