New ECM for Royal Netherland's Chinooks and
Cougars
Northrop-Grumman's AN/AAR-54 passive missile detection system
has been chosen for the Royal Netherlands Air Force fleet of CH-47D
Chinook and AS 432U2 Cougar helicopters. AN/AAR-54 uses a UV sensor
to track multiple targets, which are then classified as threats
or non-threats.
